Deborah was born on February 04 , 1954 in San Augustine, TX to Ima & Charles Kirby. Deborah loved to travel, spend time at the beach, she loved reading and drawing and loved her puppy Sugar Baby. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her son Bryan Jones of Columbus, OH; three daughters Amanda Williams & husband Dustin of Jasper, TX, Brittainy Lee & husband Doug of Wichita, KS and Brooke Lee of Wichita, KS; a sister Alta Gail Kirby Hale of Carlisle, TX; as well as seven grandchildren Alana, Trenton, Colby, Landen, Hunter, Easton and Alessa Grace.

Native of Mexico, former resident of Chicago, resided in Kirbyville for 7 years , has been a Jasper resident since 1983. Born on March 21, 1955. He was an owner /operator of Abel's Auto Detailing. Abel was preceded in death by his parents Mauricio & Eluteria Vargas, sibling Juventino Vargas; children Jesus & Sofia Vargas and grandson Ruben Vargas. Survivors include his wife Maria "Tita" Vargas of Jasper, TX; two sons Ruben Vargas & wife Mayra of Jasper, TX and Roger Vargas and wife Paloma Martinez of Jasper, TX; three daughters Eva Navarro & husband Jesus of Santa Rosa, Mexico, Juana Gonzalez & husband Carlos of Jasper, TX and Sofia Gonzalez & husband Miguel of Jasper, TX; three brothers Antonio Vargas & wife Venancia of Mexico, Rosendo Vargas of Fresco, CA and Jose Luis Vargas of California; two sisters Antonia Bautista & husband Pedro of Mexico and Yolanda Vargas of Mexico; as well as 17 grandchildren Graciela, Marc, Ruben Jr,. Clarence Grady Holton was born in Merryville, LA. on the family farm August 19, 1924 to Cordie Coward and J.C. Holton but grew up in Jasper. He was married for 75 years to Gordon Elizabeth Holton (1942-2017). His children are Terry (Debby) Holton, Jacksonville, TX, Glenda (Bob) Flickner, Garland, TX, Beth (John) Griner, Ocala, FL., and Mark (Lisa) Holton, League City, TX. Eight grandchildren, Chris (Sandra) Holton, Russ (Rae Lynn) Holton, David Rodenberg, Rhonda (Jeremy) Gant, Joy (Chad) Chmelar, Melanie (Alex) Williams, Melissa Griner, and Brandy (David) Spear and step grand-daughters Brooke Lamb, Lindsay (Sam) Morrissey, and step grand-son Blake (Mary) Flickner and 25 great-grandchildren. His sister was, Gladys (Robert) Windham and his two nephews are Ron (Dorothy) and Jim (Sally) Windham. Grady served during WW II in the U.S. Navy as a gunner’s mate on the S.S. Carl Schurz and the S.S. Kit Carson in the South Pacific, and on the S.S. Czechoslovakia Victory making trips to Adak and Attu off the coast of Alaska. In 1952, he left the employment of the Gulf Refinery in Pt. Arthur to become owner/operator of Holton’s Service Station and Garage later known as Grady’s Tackle. He served the public for over 65 years as an honest, hard-working businessman and employer, a friend and listening ear to many loyal customers. He was a fisher of fish, as well as, a fisher of men, a man of God, a follower of Jesus Christ, a prayer warrior, a lover of God’s Word, and a long-time member of Gideon’s International known for distributing God’s Word. After becoming a Christian in 1971, at a Billy Graham Crusade in Dallas, TX. Grady’s life passion was to share God’s Word by giving New Testaments to people he encountered everywhere he went. His desire was for everyone to understand the Gospel, see their need for a Savior and have an opportunity to trust Christ for salvation and eternal life. The Bible says to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. On December 4, 2019, Grady heard those words all believers long to hear, “well done thy good and faithful servant”. Along with family and friends, former customers, and those who may have personally received a Gideon New Testament, or a kind and encouraging word from Grady, you are invited to attend a memorial service to be held at First Baptist Church of Jasper on Monday, December 9 at 11AM with visitation at 10AM. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Shultz Funeral Home of Jasper.

David was born on September 29, 1948 to A.N. Lentz & Clara Jordan in Plymouth, North Carolina. From 1967 - 1972 he served in the U.S. Navy. April 29, 1991 he married the love of his life Wanda Ruth Griner. Preceded in death by his parents A.N. & Clara Lentz; a son Tony Lentz; as well as a sister Susan Shappley. He spent his life helping and caring for others from volunteering at Jasper Volunteer Fire Department to a Director of Operations Paramedic at Stat Care EMS then there after a Sheriff Deputy at Jasper County Sheriff's Office where he served 7 years as Chief Deputy. A member of Treasure of Chief Deputy Association, TX Federal Agent/ U.S. Marshall , Chairman of EMS & Trauma Association, a Elder and Lay Minister of Jasper County Cowboy Church, as well as a Master Mason of the Masonic Lodge in Jasper. Glenn had a passion for golf, hunting, fishing and grilling outdoors. Born on May 16, 1930 to Minor & Mary Strother in Stevenson, Mississippi, Jackie was raised in the Bessmay Community and graduated from Buna High School in 1946. She attended Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches and was a long-time resident of Jasper since 1950. She is survived by her son Clinton & wife Brenda Smith of Leesville, Louisiana; grandchildren Cara, Stephanie, Michael, Curt, & Molly; and great grandchildren Douglas, Clay, Joseph, Brantley, Hunter, Mikayla, Dylan & Jeremiah.
Donna Hancock, 72, of Jasper passed away on January 2, 2020 in Jasper. Donna was born to Margie Ruth Wilson Hancock and Doyle Dean Hancock in the Beech Grove community, a few miles west of Jasper, Texas. She was raised in the old Wilson family house by her parents, great aunts Minnie Wilson, Missouri Wilson and great uncle Leon Wilson. She grew up with her older brother Lee Everette and younger sister Mae Ella enjoying the benefits of a rural upbringing with the security of a sizeable extended family. Donna attended Beech Grove Elementary School and Jasper High School. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, knitting, and her soap operas "The Bold and the Beautiful" and "The Young & the Restless". Donna worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone in Beaumont and Silsbee for 25 years. After retirement, she relocated back to Jasper and enjoyed many years with her son Wynn, sister Mae Ella, her relatives and many childhood friends. She especially became close with her grandchildren Hannah, Noah and Josh. Donna was known for her generosity, her selflessness and the genuine nature she always exuded. Her wit, her laugh and her passion for life were always present. Donna was especially blessed to have a lifelong sibling bond with Mae and Lee. Her son Wynn, wife Ashley and granddaughter Hannah provided great comfort to her through her last years.
She is survived by her son Wynn Martindale & wife Ashley of Jasper; brother Lee Everette & wife Susan of Houston; sister Mae Swearingen & husband Marvin of Jasper and three grandchildren Hannah, Noah & Josh. She was preceded in death by her sons Will Martindale and infant son Warren Clint Martindale. Ronnie Sandrock, 72, of Brookeland passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2019 in Jasper. Ronnie was born on May 1, 1947 in Germany and grew up and attended school there, he moved to the United States as a teenager and was a resident of Brookeland for over 30 years. He worked and retired as a Conductor for Southern Pacific Railroad. He loved hunting, fishing, Harley Davidson motorcycles, fast boats and classic rock and roll. He is survived by his wife of twenty-nine years Sherrie Sandrock of Brookeland; sons Allen (Tra) Y'Barbo & wife Sheila of Jasper, Shon Y'Barbo & wife Paige of Pensacola, Florida; and grandchildren Keleigh Dunman & husband Dalton of Jasper and Brayton Y'Barbo of Jasper.

Bill was born on July10, 1967 to William Richard Lawrence Sr. and Regina Marie Santini Lawrence . He spent his life as a Truck Driver , he had a passion for Peterbilt trucks. On February 15, 1992 he married the love of his life Dallas Eldon Whaley Calhoun. A member of Angelina River Volunteer Fire Department for over 20 years, his time in the department he served as a Fire Fighter, Fire Chief and Assistant Chief. Bill loved serving his community, playing his guitar, cooking, and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife of 27 years Dallas Lawrence of Jasper, TX; his parents William & Regina Lawrence Sr. of Jasper, TX; three sons Casey Holden Lawrence, William Richard Lawrence III "Billy" and Jason Michael Calhoun all of Jasper, TX; a sister Christina Ann Smith & husband Dustin Michael of Quanah, TX; a niece Catherine Smith of Quanah, TX; nephew Vance Smith of Quanah, TX ; grandson Brett Michael Calhoun Primrose of Jasper, TX; as well as a host of family and friends.

John was born on December 31, 1952 in Port Arthur, TX to Morris John Jorgensen Jr. and Sybil Marie Ralph. He spent his life as a Nurse since 1976. Since 2016 he served as a Texas State Guard. A Master Mason at the Masonic Lodge # 151 where he obtained rank as Scottish Duke and York, Royal Order of Scotland, International Board of DeMolay as well as Sons of the Republic. On July 04, 2004 he married Patricia Milam in Kansas City, KS. Survivors include his wife Patricia "Pat" Jorgensen of Jasper, TX; daughters Michelle Glenn of Jasper, TX and Rachel Asbury of Kansas; grandchildren Destynee Glenn, Andras Jonathan Glenn and Chloe Asbury; as well as great grandchildren Aurora Skie and Andrarius Sage.
